Radiology Services and Diagnostic Testing

Radiology Services and Diagnostic Testing
These services provide valuable information and aid in the diagnostic process.
Routine diagnostics such as heartworm and feline leukemia testing, fecal analysis, and
urinalysis may be performed with results obtained during the course of your visit. We
offer 10-minute results for a test for tick-borne diseases which are common in this area;
the heartworm antigen test that we use for dogs includes a screen for 3 tick-borne diseases; Lyme
disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasmosis. In the event of an emergency or a critically-ill pet, we offer complete
blood count and blood chemistry analysis performed in our laboratory. This
capability also proves to be convenient for pre-surgical screening. Our radiology
services include x-rays for diagnostic purposes, hip and elbow radiographs for the
Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and special
contrast studies. We offer radiographic consultations performed by specialists when
necessary. We provide on-site ultrasound services and
also have access to a specialist in ultrasound who will schedule
procedures at our Elk River location.
